The triage process includes administration of the CORE COMPAS and a standard batch of additional screening instruments to better understand the referred person’s treatment needs. These instruments currently include the TCU Drug Screen II, Correctional Mental Health Screen, PTSD Checklist-Civilian (PCL-C), TCU Criminal Thinking Scales and University of Rhode Island Change Assessment (URICA). The Triage Team determines whether a referred person qualifies for a treatment court and, if so, the most appropriate court to meet the person’s needs.
