The mission of Vernon County Sobriety Court is to enhance community safety by reducing recidivism in offenders with Substance Use Disorders. Increased treatment and immediate responses to both positive and negative actions of the participants are utilized. Guided by evidence based practices, participants are held accountable for their behaviors. Participant self-sufficiency is promoted. Participants are encouraged to become productive and responsible members of the community.

The Vernon County Drug Court is an optional, early intervention, post conviction treatment program available to defendants who have been convicted of substance use related offenses and who meet the eligibility criteria. The program utilizes a team approach to provide participants with all of the possible tools required to get into recovery quickly, stay in recovery and lead a productive, crime-free life.
