Description:
Crawford County Treatment Court is designed to provide an alternative to incarceration for non-violent offenders with substance use disorders. Participants are enrolled for a minimum of 14 months to complete the five-phase program in which they engage in evidence-based treatment, submit to random alcohol and drug testing, attend regular community support meetings and court hearings, and address areas of need including, but not limited to, family support, financial literacy, and education.

The FIT Program diverts offenders out of the criminal justice systems in order to reduce jail stays. Length of the program depends on service needs, risk level, and DAGP agreement. The services provided in FIT will be directly linked to the assessed risk level of the offender. The goal of FIT is to effectively supervise and treat offenders by identifying their criminogenic risks and needs while addressing thought patterns based on experience, beliefs, attitudes, and values that affect behaviors.
