Between 2014 and 2018, TAD program admissions grew 150%, coinciding with over $5 million in additional funding awarded. During these five years, 6,125 admissions were reported across approximately 83 Treatment Alternatives and Diversion (TAD) funded treatment courts or diversion programs in 52 counties and three tribes across Wisconsin. This report provides insight into the composition of these programs, participant completion rates, recidivism rates across participants compared to a non-TAD comparison sample, and cost-benefit analysis of TAD-funded programs. Limitations and recommendations are also discussed.
